paper mache ... machet.. macha.. whatever

here is my first try at a paper machet ( however its spelled ) bowl. This was done at my last Glitteratti meet.Thanks to a fellow Glitteratti member, I used pre-made wallpaper paste instead of the traditional water and flour mixture, which yeilded much better results. I started with a layer of brown paper for a solid base and then covered with newspaper.

I used a plastic mixing bowl covered in plastic wrap as my mold

however I was a bit impatient for it to dry and it tore a little bit when I released it

and I painted the out side a translucent red.. i think it looks cool to still be able to see the news print
